If you've ever wondered whether the US can do political humour, the answer is Yes, Goddammit. I present to you one of the all-time segments from the daily show. Watch this, you won't be disappointed:

If the embed doesn't work, go here.

This is a brutal curb-stomping.

On a different note, would people find it useful to understand WTF is happening with Lehman Bros, Merrill Lynch and the like falling over? As in, why they're now broke and what the hell it might mean for the rest of us? I've been following this for far too long and can probably put together a couple of profanity-laden posts trying to explain it. Let me know.

I know what's happening (years in finance plus the BBC's coverage does all I need), but I'd be interested in reading your rants now.

Its that whole complete lack of memory that they rely on - no one seems to remember what they said last month, let alone last year...

drop me an email and I can pass it on to the correct people. I believe there's a way to get feedback from externally, not sure what it is.

I don't know if I have your email - but, if you just follow this link - the street view shows that Harrison St is NOT continuous and has a break here - and until about 2 weeks ago, Google Maps reflected that correctly. But now, it acts as if you can drive over that park...

Now that Merrill Lynch & Bank of America are merging, are they going to call the new institution Lynch America?

Your illuminating rantage would be most welcome. Feel like tackling the sub-prime mortgage crisis and the Fed take-over of Fannie and Freddie while you're at it?

Oh go on then. If it's any good I'll buy you a cold fizzy beverage next week at SyPy.
