At some point could someone please fire AFP head Mick Keelty?
Please? Alternately, perhaps suggest he focus on his job?

First it was oh no, the robots are coming.

Then there was the complete rolling clusterfuck of Haneef and the disgusting way the AFP assisted the Federal Government in attempting to railroad someone who, as it turned out, appears to have done nothing wrong.

And now: FutureCrime!

Apparently the requirement for, you know, actually having committed crimes before you get sent to jail is proving too onerous for the AFP. How can they get convictions in court if no-one's done anything illegal? It's just so unfair!
But, but, terrorism! It's a totally new type of crime. Certainly not one that say, Israel or the UK have managed to live with for years without throwing out the last vestiges of a justice system. No, no, don't be silly.

If they won't fire him, could they at least revoke his video library card, or limit it to chick flicks? I mean, sure, we'd receive warnings about a new Meg-Ryan-inspired crimewave that's about to crash over us, but what the hell.

The UK did a pretty comprehensive job of throwing out the last vestiges of a justice system in Northern Ireland in the 1970s ...

I guess he'll want to prosecute thoughtcrime next.

If the only thing we have to fear is the Evil Cyborgs from the Planet Keelty, we're doing pretty well. At least we'll die laughing.

Climate Change == Terrorism

Mr Keelty said climate change could eclipse terrorism as the security issue of the century...

"Existing cultural tensions might be exacerbated as large numbers of people undertake forced migration. The potential security issues are enormous and should not be underestimated."

Especially from malfunctioning robot terrorists damaged by salt water.
