Aug. 7th, 2006 05:08 pmGay Marriage - totally a threat to the institution of marriage. No, really. Of course, a reality show where a TV station helps someone pick a partner and marries them is fine.
Personally, the only reality TV I've seen was about an hour of Big Brother Up Late when I was stuck in the waiting room at the Alfred Hospital one night, and that was more than enough.
Hopefully this is a sign that the reality TV bandwagon is running out of steam... but I doubt it. I suspect it's more that it was a retarded idea for a show.
Bonus pissy quote:
... This reminds me of those summaries in the film festival guide that refer to a film as "challenging". This is of course code for "this movie is shit, but it's you, the viewer, who is at fault for not getting it's sheer brilliance".

Network Ten has left the would-be bride at the altar, canning its latest reality TV instalment, Yasmin's Getting Married, after just one week.
The show - playing cupid to find a young woman a husband - was dumped today after a pitiful ratings debut.
Bonus pissy quote:
"While we all had very high hopes for Yasmin's Getting Married, it is clear at this early stage that our audience has not embraced this bold new initiative."
