A greasemonkey script that hooked the online melways into google maps (and vice versa) would seriously seriously rock.

I have no time to work on it - I still have a tutorial and a talk for OSCON to lash into shape. My new plan for getting these fuckers into an intelligent and coherent whole is to use index cards. I have lots and lots of material, but it's proving difficult to get a sense of what order things should go, or how to link the stuff so it flows in a sane manner. So - I have a pile of several hundred index cards. I break the 3 hour tute up into five 1/2 hour slots (tutes always take longer than you expect), then break the 1/2 hour slots into five 5-6 minute chunks. I dump all the bits and pieces onto cards - one card per chunk of material - then I move the cards around and get a much better overview of it all. It's working really well, and I wish I'd thought of this approach much much earlier. Oh well.

It would, of course, be much easier without a pair of inquisitive cats who've decided index cards are more interesting than Anything Else in the Entire World.
