a nice weekend away

Miss S. and I spent the weekend up at Rainbow Serpent. What a very fun weekend - we ran into a bunch of folks we knew, hung out, watched the pretty hippies twirling fire prettily, listened to some music (some good, some kinda meh) and generally soaked up the excellent friendly vibes. Very very glad we hired a campervan for the weekend rather than camping out in a tent, though - it was insane crazy-making wind all weekend - and either dustclouds or cold cold rain spattering down occasionally.

The only minor snafu was that the van we hired had a fucked battery and when we went to leave today, no starting. Fortunately, there were plenty of helpful people around to give us a jumpstart. I gave the folks who helped our last couple of beers we had left over - seemed only fair.

And now I have to stay awake a couple more hours before I crash hard asleep for work tomorrow. Wheeee.

I ran into the firetwirling girls when I was having lunch at Beaufort on Sunday :)
The campervan was a much better idea than the tent, although it wasn't too bad, but now I have to wash all the mud off the tent.
