May. 1st, 2008 11:25 pmYou know those movies where it really looks like they put all the good bits in the trailer? Iron Man is not one of those movies. Probably my favourite of all of the Marvel movie adaptations so far. It rocked my socks, and Robert Downey Jr. is brilliantly cast.
Without giving away any spoilers, the very first piece of music you hear in the movie makes it pretty clear what sort of movie you're in for. My work bud Mike and I went and saw it, and when the music started we looked at each other and said "Oooo yeah. Damn".
In other news, I'm partially packed. The little fuzzybums are off for 6 weeks in a cat motel tomorrow morning. I'm flying out Saturday morning, arrive in NYC on Saturday evening NYC time. For those of you in NY, I'm staying at 24th St and 7th Ave. I'll pick up a US SIM card while I'm there - I'll make a locked post later with the number.
Also, if you want me to bring you back something from NY, let me know.
