No, no, Haneef was never about cheap politics, of course not. Oops:


Mr Andrews, who decided Haneef had failed a "character test" under the Migration Act, also took the extraordinary step of criticising the Opposition for supporting the Government in its handling of the case.
"It is not good enough for (Opposition Leader Kevin) Rudd to simply say, 'Me too'," he said.
"It is about time Mr Rudd started telling the Australian people what decisions and actions he would take as alternative prime minister in order to protect the Australian people from potential terrorist threats."


FFS. It's a mark of how desperate they're getting with the attempted wedges failing again and again, really.

Having said that, I was extremely pissed off at how Rudd handled it. Now that they've dropped the charges, perhaps he'll grow a sack and come out against police verballing of suspects?

Also, Kev (Andrews)? God doesn't like it when you tell lies. You shameless authoritarian godbothering hack.
