feelin like a home

As I've probably mentioned, Miss S. and I have taken the step of moving in together. Last week we moved into a nice little place in St Kilda (just round the corner from Acland and Barkly). The house is still chockers with boxes, but it's finally feeling like a home. The arrival this evening of DSL helps with this. Suddenly we're not both sharing a single crappy dialup connection. There's bouncy rock music playing, the smell of food cooking, and the 3 cats have mostly settled down. They're still looking forward to their first outdoor experience this weekend, of course.

Today I had cleaners at the old place, tomorrow the carpets are cleaned and Friday I hand the keys back. This closes off a past for me. That place will always have many memories for me - some very good, some very bad - but that's all they are now, just memories.

Live is pretty damn good.
