I win at shopping
Jul. 5th, 2006 05:24 pmSo I went and raided the closing down record store at lunchtime. As well as the first two Transvision Vamp albums on vinyl, I also picked up 7" singles for Kylie's Locomotion and I've Got To Be Certain. I also picked up a couple of classics. Here's the first:

Note that the $2 price is before the 50% discount. So it cost me a WHOLE DOLLAR. That's like 40% of a cup of coffee.
The text on the back makes me laugh and laugh and laugh:
The second album cover is definitely NSFW, so hiding it ( behind a cut )

1976, the year of ABBA plus the year of the Moog synthesiser. Together now on this album, the Top Hits of ABBA played on the phenomenal Moog synthesiser. Using the modern electronic techniques now available in Australian recordings, this is the sound of today: The pulsating rhythms with exciting melody lines, designed not only for the young dancing crowd, but also for listening by the more mature audiences.
The tracks selected here are regarded as the most popular ABBA releases. A wonderful vocal group who, no doubt, will remain with us for a long time to come, not only by Australians who have adopted them and their songs, but also by people the world over who enjoy lyrics that make sense with melodies you can remember.
