things that scare me.
Jun. 21st, 2006 02:26 pmOn my desk, things currently plugged into the mains:
The desk behind me has monitor, 3 desktops, keyboard/video/mouse switch, ethernet switch, wireless hub, firewall, ADSL modem.
Depressingly, there's also 3 desktops that need parts, 6 that are too old/slow to bother booting, and 2 turned off because I have no use for them at the moment. And that's not even beginning to count the pile of crap that's in the cupboard.
I count 17 devices plugged in and working. In this one room. For one person. (Cats don't count - they can't type worth a damn)
Alcoa might use 20% of the state's power, but my study isn't helping, either.
