Are you an american? Do you, like any normal, healthy human being, enjoy sex? Well, enjoy it while you can - because the anti-abortion freaks have decided to stop pretending they're against abortion, and are now making their agenda clear - they oppose all forms of contraception.

Zenarolla told me she converted to Catholicism two years ago: "I tell people I became Catholic because of the church's teaching on contraception. We are opposed to sex before marriage and contraception within marriage. We believe that the sexual act is meant to be a complete giving of self. Of course its purpose is procreation, but the church also affirms the unitive aspect: it brings a couple together. By using contraception, they are not allowing the fullness of their expression of love. To frustrate the procreative potential ends up harming the relationship."

I'll be curious (in a horrified kind of way) to see if Family First starts down this path here - does anyone know if our Federal Health Minister Abott the fuckstick has expressed an opinion on contraception?

"You know, I've experienced many great moments and it's hard to name the best," Bush told weekly Bild am Sonntag when asked about his high point since becoming president in January 2001.

"I would say the best moment of all was when I caught a 7.5 pound (3.402 kilos) perch in my lake," he told the newspaper in an interview published on Sunday.

I'm beginning to think that J.G.Kennett has actually just been creating an extended piece of performance art for the last few years. Just wait - he'll have a video installation at the Fringe festival in a couple of years, titled "Just How Fucking Gullible Are You People?"

And in the "Are you (almost) thinking what I'm thinking" category, this comment from a "senior liberal":

The former premier maintained he had seriously considered a comeback before honourably deferring to Ted Baillieu, but one former colleague said the result was predictable: "Jeffrey does this every time and nobody ever learns."

As a senior party figure rather crudely put it: "He's a prick-tease when it comes to that sort of thing."

You could really leave off everything after the hyphen there.

Oh well. Comedy's loss is humanity's gain, I guess.
